Can't believe the news - from heartbreak to joy overnight! We were totally surprised to receive an email today and telephone call that we are approved and can travel to get our daughter! I am quickly getting organized to leave with my mother-in-law Melva this Saturday - 4 days from now. No, I'm not ready and nothing is organized but I will make that flight!!!
Advise thus far - work ahead in your planning! First up, get the Visa mailed (done) and get airline tickets booked (done-a real treat traveling on a holiday weekend with 4 days notice- I think we're traveling throughout all continents to get there).
Next up - read that travel manual and make tons of lists on what I can realistically accomplish in 4 days. BTY - did I tell you that I am leaving behind a 7 year old son and a DH who just had major back surgery. An adventure this is sure to be...
